welcome back to AI for Jewelers presented by Jewelers Advantage Jewelers have questions about AI we're here to answer them and today we're here to answer the question of how can you use AI to create a great logo for your new jewelry brand and develop your brand at the level of a much more mature brand and to do that we would need a great luxury logo in order to allow our customers to enter a world and get excited about the products that you sell so how do we do this how are we going to use AI well what we're going to start with is we're going to come over to chat GPT and use a free tool called Jewelers Advantage this is built upon industry specific knowledge on the global luxury and jewelry space in order to help you accelerate your progress and make sure that you have some guard rails in place if you're new to Ai and even if you're not new to AI this is going to make things a lot faster and more convenient to you so what we're going to do in Jeweler's Advantage is we are going to go to the conversation starter for brand this is going to help you start developing your brand identity on an accelerated timetable and when you click this button here it's going to start a thread much like this so this is going to immediately give you a brand consultant in your pocket that's going to teach you things like the brand prism teach you things like who is your ideal customer Avatar and how is your brand going to present present across the areas of the brand prism that will have builtin education for you as you learn this process which is very cool so I'm getting started by saying this is a high-end brand and uses exotic animals in its brand storytelling I want a french aesthetic colorful dreamy give me five brand name choices as well cuz maybe I don't have a name for my brand yet so here we have some great choices I ended up choosing anim Mo an all my French as you all know could improve but we're going to keep moving forward and I got to a place where we have some great consultation going in the thread and I say let's call the brand animu and create a brand concept image in a landscape aspect ratio so in a matter of moments I have a concept for a luxury jewelry brand here and I decided to run this one more time so that we could have a peacock with a head intact because sometimes AI does some unusual things so I said create another version love the peacock only one peacock this time same style and then this time now for Animo we have a beautiful French aesthetic in a highend luxury environment with a peacock as our brand ambassador and we already have some great concept work coming together to help us develop this brand so the next thing I want to do is I want to create a logo for this so so what I did was I used a prompt that we have in our free prompt Library if you stick around to the end I'll make sure that you get this so that you can develop logos and lots of other cool stuff for your jewelry brand and the prompt is develop a logo for this brand that aligns with the given Market segment in this case that's high-end use a white background in solid dark colors unless another specific color is specified remember that luxury logos typically follow the logic of bold shapes and thin lines and that logo must look attractive at all sizes so there's a lot under the hood here that's helping to keep the guard rails on and make sure that the logo itself actually looks like a luxury logo and this principle of bold shapes and thin lines with a black logo on a white background is typically the standard for luxury Brands so I just copied and pasted that into my chat thread and then added one sentence that said the logo is a peacock because I was pleasantly surprised with this lovely peacock and thought that that would be a cool symbol for the brand especially if the focus is on exotic animals so here we go so it starts immediately generating a logo for me for this project called Animo and this is already a really good idea my problem with this is that it's putting the logo on a 3D background we're going to need to isolate this this image and in order to do that we need the AI to cooperate with us and normally if it's not working out you can start a new thread but in this case I wanted to show you how to overcome some adversity so I'm saying try again just the logo graphic on a plain background again we have a fine idea but this isn't the correct format if I want to turn this into a logo for free so I say must be viewed from Straight Ahead the way a normal logo graphic would look this is getting a lot better and you probably could isolate this image and there's no reason why this peacock logo couldn't be used for a luxury brand it's very attractive but I want to try to do one better so I say keep only the logo and so on you'll notice that I'm giving very human feedback as if I'm working with a real designer and just trying to tell it what I want in this case this is a little bit out of the ordinary in a normal situation you would probably just start a new thread and try to get it to do it the right way from the beginning but again I want to show you how to overcome adversity because sometimes we have to be the master of the AI and get it back on track and show that we can control it with our human decision making so notice that I'm telling the AI what I don't want confirm for me that you will stop using photographs of a logo on paper this is unacceptable for this project I'm being very hard-nosed with the AI it shows that it understands what we're talking about and then I say try again with the peacock logo with no text and here we go getting something very effective there's no reason why I wouldn't be using this logo for a brand in fact I probably want to save this and use this for a brand so at this point I just want to drum up multiple tries if it goes off the rails I'll just bump it back into place with feedback so in this case I said hey you put it on the background again unacceptable no I'm making sure that I'm polite with the AI you know just in case for the future so I just say yes follow the directions I'm getting the AI to start talking about what it's supposed to do because it's going to reference its text on the way to creating the project so here we're getting a lot better with this version of the logo but it still doesn't look luxury enough for me so I just want multiple tries we're not going to break the AI by getting multiple tries and there's no reason why you couldn't take one of these images and send it to a professional graphic designer but I just want what I want so here we've got another great option this could have potentially been a good logo with some cleanup work but let's keep moving I wanted to keep trying and ultimately I found my way to this logo which was my winning choice I thought that this had a great luxury aesthetic and there are some elements here that could really work but we are going to have to do certain things to this image to get it to work so we would have to remove the background and make it a clear background on a PNG so that it would be a good logo and then we would have to do things like remove the federal trademark this of course is not a federally trademarked logo AI just learned from seeing lots and lots of images on the internet and it automatically adds the little r for a federal trademark that is very easy to remove maybe there were other elements I'd want to remove as well like this little dot or maybe these lines whatever you would want to do you can make the edits later on so what I did was I downloaded the image you can download it here with save and then I came over to another free tool called photo and photo is cool because it's a cloud-based editor and if you're doing very simple projects it can be effective so what I did was I came over to the magic wand tool and if you click the space that you want to delete in this case it's the background and then just click delete all of a sudden I'm well on my way to having a professional logo on a clear background I can remove a lot of elements here and we would get to a place where I need to clean up this logo so that it can be used and you would do that by of course using the wand tool to remove most of the background and then when it gets to the cleanup you have to actually come in with the Eraser so you click on the Eraser tool if you're on a Mac to make sure that you're off the layer that you were on previously so that you could erase this R cuz maybe that doesn't work you would use the key command command D and then you can easily erase any element that you want and make the proper edits to the tool I don't know the key command if you're on Windows but you can always ask chat GPT for help with any of the tools in photo within chat GPT and it knows the answers for how this works that's how I learned that little trick so you want to get to a place where you look like this with your logo I ended up cropping the image a bit after doing a little bit of cleanup but this still isn't perfect I'm not a professional graphic designer by any stretch and at this point maybe I would have wanted to go on Fiverr or upwork and find a graphic designer to do the final cleanup work and that would have been very affordable say $30 or $40 would have gotten this done maybe even less but what if you want to have a workaround I would save this image and I'm over in canva here as you can see this story does have a happy ending I was able to find my way to cleaning up this logo and nobody should have any complaints with that logo if it's an initial launch of a brand this is very good we've seen a lot worse but the question is how did I get there how did I take this logo which is clearly not good enough for professional use and get it to a place where it was looking much much more attractive which was then just copied and pasted into this image that I could use on any project from now on and have a great presentation for my luxury jewelry brand with a French aesthetic on the mall so what I did was I would bring this image onto a dark background like so here is the dark background nothing fancy going on here I clicked the image and the work around here to clean it up was I went into edit image and by coming into Duo tone I simply clicked one of the presets and then I changed the primary color to white because I want the logo to be white and then I needed to find a way to clean up the edges that were in the original design that were a little bit of a mess so what I did here was in the shadow section of Duo te I brought the color all the way to the left and had to find a sweet spot to clean up the edges as you can see if I turn it all the way to White it makes the Shadows kind of messy if I turn it all the way to dark by the same token it's going to be messy on a particular background so what I did was I found the right balance in the middle that kind of softened it up cleaned it up and all of a sudden you can't really tell that the logo was a mess before it's very very clean there's people out there that are paying graphic designers for logos that are of a lower quality than this to be fair so we get to this place and now we've got a usable workable logo that can be copied and pasted command C command V in into this project and of course you could add this
