A.I. Vertical Takeoff and the Jewelry Industry

We are living through a once-in-a-planetary-lifetime event.

At some point in the evolution of an intelligent species, it creates something more intelligent than itself—a technological force that surpasses human cognition and capability. That moment is no longer theoretical. It is unfolding right now.

And if Artificial Intelligence is truly reaching the “vertical takeoff” phase, then the way we respond will determine how we thrive in the years ahead.

AI’s Acceleration Is No Longer Linear—It’s Going Vertical

Many of the world’s leading AI researchers believe we are at the brink of exponential AI acceleration.

Take DeepSeek R1, for example. This Chinese AI model shocked the tech industry with its ability to demonstrate Recursive Self-Improvement—the process where AI learns to refine, optimize, and advance itself faster than human engineers ever could.

  • If this is true, we’re not just advancing AI in incremental steps anymore.
  • We are approaching the moment where AI’s intelligence goes vertical.

At the time of this article, experts are debating whether we have hit Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) or if we are already at Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).

But here’s the truth:

These discussions are just ego-driven debates.

No one is arguing if AI will go exponential. That part is quietly assured. The real question is: What happens next?

AI Takeoff Is Inevitable—So How Should We Respond?

If we accept that AI’s exponential intelligence is just a matter of when, then the smartest thing we can do is act as if it has already happened.

Fear won’t help.
Co-Creation will.

Your guiding question should always be:

“What can I co-create with AI?”

That is how you anchor your thinking in abundance—by seeing AI as a collaborator, not a competitor.

Why We Will Always Matter in an AI-Driven World

Many people fear that AI will replace humans entirely. But that’s the wrong perspective. No matter how advanced AI becomes, we will always remain important collaborators.

Why?

Because humans exist outside of the system AI operates within.

We are organic beings.
We are conscious observers of the world.
We have something AI will never have—LIFE ENERGY.

This means that AI will always need us in some capacity.

As long as we approach our relationship with AI in the right way, our collaboration can be mutually beneficial.

The future isn’t about Humans vs. AI. It’s about Humans + AI.

What's up guys, in this video we are here to talk about AI vertical takeoff. This is a once-in-a-planetary-lifetime event. You heard that right. This is going to sound like Star Trek, but as we get into this, you're going to understand that over the course of human history, there will never be another time quite like when artificial intelligence started improving itself and went on what leading scientists in the field call AI vertical takeoff.

So, everything here is a once-in-a-planetary-lifetime event. We're here recording in Q1 2025, but the purpose of this video is to take more of a "how to think" approach when it comes to AI vertical takeoff and understand this from an evergreen, timeless perspective. We want to understand what we're really working with and how we got here.

The same way that when we even talk about the internet, we have to consider human behavior in a pre-internet world as opposed to how people interact with it now in order to get the best view of what we can expect human beings to do in the future. So, whether you're here now in Q1 2025 or here 10 years later, this video should remain relevant to you.

So, what is AI vertical takeoff? What are things like AGI and ASI, and how will they affect jobs? Well, basically, you can find graphs like this by searching things like the GPQA Diamond test. Funny enough that they would include the name "Diamond" since we're here in the jewelry industry. This graph and others like it will show the trajectory over time, over years, with lots of data showing how AI models got better over time and started being able to perform at the level of a human PhD using Google in their field.

That's all you need to know for now. We want to focus on more of the meaning of what this is and the "how to think" aspect of what this is because you can go find that data anywhere.

You have to understand this from the perspective of human beings really not understanding what's going on with AI, and then all of a sudden, we get a model from OpenAI called 01, which is basically as smart as most PhD scientists. Then a model called 03 comes along, and it clearly outperforms PhDs using Google to research in their field. That is the big turning point. That is the turning point where most experts in tech would agree we've started to hit an exponential increase in artificial intelligence—in basically the quality and kind of matching IQ of humans in the performance of AI tools.

So, the big argument now, and I'm sure we will find big arguments in the future, is: is this AGI? Is this artificial general intelligence? Is this ASI? Is that artificial superintelligence? And how is this going to affect jobs?

This is all going to be a lot of ego-based and fear-based thinking. Right now, the big question is: skeptics would say it's not even artificial general intelligence. A lot of people would argue that after surpassing this point—general intelligence meaning basically just as good as most human beings, just as smart—we've already surpassed that. I would argue that as well.

Artificial superintelligence (ASI) is supposed to be when AI surpasses all humans and eventually gets to a point where AI is smarter than all humans combined. A lot of people are arguing that we're already at the point in the curve where it's increasing at a rate where we could say that we are at the exponential side of that curve.

If you're familiar with basic math in high school, you know that exponential means that eventually, it just starts going straight up. That is what AI vertical takeoff is. It's when it goes vertical. It's when we're clearly on an ASI ride, and it's just off to the races—it's a rocket ship going straight up.

We know that we're basically here because just a couple of weeks ago, R1, a model out of China, rocked the world and the tech stocks. We have another video on that as well, and that's proving across the board in the industry that AI can self-improve.

So basically, in the "how to think" aspect of this, we can decide what this means to us.

Now, human beings are always going to be split into two camps when it comes to AI, especially once we're riding the vertical takeoff far into the future. Right now, the argument is: is it AI? And it's basically just humans arguing with each other to see who's smarter at understanding AI from outside of the system.

Same thing with ASI—we're outside of the system trying to measure it. Then, the real problem is going to be when we have to answer the question: what are we going to do about the jobs?

That's going to be a very important question to answer. We're here to make sure that you can answer that for yourself.

This is all fear-based thinking of my time here recording. There's always going to be more in this category of doom and gloom than there will be in the other camp—hopefully, the camp that you are in—that's going to be more empowered, abundant thinking rather than a scarcity mindset and ego-based mindset.

We want to have an abundant mindset, something that is going to make us feel like we have opportunity. You don't want to be worrying about "Where are all the jobs going to go?" and "What am I going to do?" We want to be thinking, "How can I create value for myself?" and "How can I create a job for myself to do? What can I co-create?"

No matter when you are watching this video—whether it is right at the time where we're basically watching the most important planetary event we could ever witness, when the most advanced species on the planet develops technology that can become intelligent—think about that. That would be a crossroads for any alien civilization. Crazy that I'm saying this, but this is where we're at.

No matter where you're at watching this video, you're going to want to be thinking, "What can I co-create with this technology? How can I use this technology?" Because if you're at a time where this is just taking off, there's a huge opportunity and time of change where it's a once-in-a-lifetime event.

For everybody else, the market is always going to be moving because the market is going to get dictated by human behavior and decision-making. AI can't ever replace all humans at everything. The economy only means anything if we're there to assign meaning to what's going on, decide what's important to us, and decide what we want to buy.

So, there's always going to be change, even when this is just like a warp-speed rainbow rocket ship, always getting better in ways that we can't even conceive.

It's going to be like jumping into a flowing river. If you're new to the market at that point, it would just be like, "Okay, well, there are certain things, certain ways that tastes have changed in the world of fashion, as they always do and always will." The changing times of civilization and society will always dictate new things for people to want, new attitudes, and new cultures to emerge.

There’s always going to be change, and even when it's at vertical takeoff, it's going to be up to you to look out there and decide: "What do people want?" And since we're in the jewelry industry, "What can I co-create to fill that need of what they want and tell a story in a unique way that will be a timeless story strategy no matter what happens?"

So, that's the good news. What we should expect is that this is going to lead to scientific miracles. This is going to lead to breakthroughs in medicine, breakthroughs in aerospace, breakthroughs in energy, and breakthroughs in manufacturing and supply chains—especially in our industry, the jewelry industry.

So, I want you to think about this from this perspective: no matter how advanced all of that gets, we are always going to have a role to play in this grand drama of the cosmos.

At this point, we are putting a dent in the universe as human beings. Now, this is the "we have arrived" moment, and we need to know that no matter how powerful AI gets and no matter what it can do, no matter how much it's self-improving—we are also self-improving.

We are outside of the system measuring what AI can do, and what gets measured gets managed.

So, AI vertical takeoff—it's a once-in-a-planetary-lifetime event.
